About the Author
Shadow Hamilton
She was born in Scotland, went first to the Canary Islands until five years old, and at seven, sailed to East Africa, arriving in Dar es Salaam Harbor on her eighth birthday. Then began what she calls the magical years and gave her a great love of nature. She returned to England when she was eighteen, but never forgot Africa and the freedom she had there. She writes about nature with first-hand knowledge and gives the reader a chance to see it through her eyes.
